Brandy Campbell is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.
She nurtured a growing passion for television broadcasting during her freshman year of high school in 2007 when she was put on the morning broadcast team.
Her initial interest in Mass Communications led her to pursue an Undergraduate Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Journalism and Film at the University of New Orleans.
Before completing her Bachelor's degree in 2015, she gained on-the-job experience at the Hearst affiliate, WDSU, for four semesters where she worked as a reporting intern.
She also attended William Paterson University of New Jersey for a semester in search of more exposure to journalistic experiences.
Brandy then went on to work as an assistant for the assignment desk for WWLTV. She got her on-air break at KTBS in Shreveport, Louisiana. Eventually, she jumped to national news where she currently reports for Fox Weather, based in Miami, Florida.
I never thought weather reporting would end up on my resume but I'm happy it did. Weather impacts our lives and creates stories that should be told, good and unfortunate.
If you have a news story idea, say hello or want to share your thoughts on a story I've done, send me a message!
